BoardCertifiedPlasticSurgeon.com is a very limited Directory of plastic surgeons. The physicians on our lists specialize in cosmetic surgery.
Surgeons are listed by city and state and must be board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
MY SURGEON IS NOT LISTED...
Does this mean he's not board-certified in plastic surgery?
Of course not! Our Directory is a voluntary directory.

The absence of a surgeon's name does not imply that he or she is not eligible to be listed here.

The removal of a previously listed plastic surgeon's name does not imply ineligibility.

It should also be noted that we retain the right to refuse and do refuse to list surgeons at our sole discretion.
WHY DO SURGEONS WHO ALREADY HAVE A WEB SITE LIST HERE?
Most doctors who list with us already have very a professional web site. Many also are listed on other large Cosmetic Surgeon Directories, as well.
Yet these top physicians continue to list with us year after year. Why?
The answer is easy. Being listed on BoardCertifiedPlasticSurgeon.com is a way of making a very public statement about an excellent professional record. Thru a doctor's willingness to take one of our pledges, the basic Directory Pledge or the more stringent Sponsor Pledge, an immediate professional confidence is established.
Our visitors (we are approaching 2 Million visits!) are taught to further check on a surgeon. We encourage visitors to "ask around". We provide links to the
State Medical Boards of all 50 United States. Inquiries should be made about any record of malpractice, public disciplinary actions, licensr revocation, etc. If the credential and professional record check is satisfactory then, and only then, should the consultation appointment be made.
Surgeons also list with us because they understand the importance of a strong online presense. Our site may be smaller than many Plastic Surgery Sites but it is clear that we do NOT list every surgeon who is willing to pay. Not only does our site seek out surgeons with very desirable professional records, but our site name, BoardCertifiedPlasticSurgeon.com, is condusive to boty "type-in" results AND search engine results on Google, Yahoo, MSN and other popular search engines.
We do not accept every surgeon who wants to be listed here. We only list surgeons who are board-certified by the ABPS.

Members of the American College of Surgeons are referred to as "Fellows."
The letters FACS (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) after a surgeon's name mean that the surgeon's education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation, and have been found to be consistent with the high standards established and demanded by the College.
