Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is performed to correct drooping upper eyelids and puffy bags under the eyes. The plastic surgeon achieves this by removing excess fat, skin, and muscle.
Sometimes upper eyelid surgery - blepharoplasty may be covered by health insurance if it is performed to correct vision problems or defects caused by the eyelids.
