Surgeons are listed by city and state and must be board-certified in plasttic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Our directory is limited to board-certified plastic surgeons in the United States who chose to be listed on our pages and who took the necessary steps:

• The absence of a surgeon's name does not imply that he or she is not eligible to be listed here.
• The removal of a previously listed plastic surgeon's name does not imply ineligibility.
• It should also be noted that we retain the right to refuse and do refuse to list surgeons who do not qualify for our pages for any number of reasons.

Prior to accepting a surgeon as a Directory Sponsor, the administrator of this web site reviews the public record of the applicant-surgeon by contacting the relevant State Medical Board. By relevant we mean the state where the physician is currently practicing medicine. If a surgeon has practiced medicine in another state, the record may be unknown to the administrator.

Members of the American College of Surgeons are referred to as "Fellows."
The letters FACS (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) after a surgeon's name mean that the surgeon's education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation, and have been found to be consistent with the high standards established and demanded by the College.
