When we say "board certified plastic surgeon, we mean board-certified in plastic surgery by the
American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc.
The ABPS is the ONLY board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties / ABMS to board-certify a physician in plastic surgery.
Please call or write to the ABPS to verify that your cosmetic surgeon or plastic surgeon is board-certified in plastic surgery BEFORE you make that appointment.
