No matter what the relevant agency is called in your state, it is important to check your plastic surgeon's credentials before making an appointment or undergoing a cosmetic surgery treatment or surgical procedure. It is your responsibility to check carefully and thoroughly on any physician or surgeon!

The American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc.
When we say "board certified plastic surgeon, we mean board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc.
The ABPS is the ONLY board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties / ABMS to board-certify a physician in plastic surgery.
Please call or write to the ABPS to verify that your cosmetic surgeon or plastic surgeon is board-certified in plastic surgery BEFORE you make that appointment.
